At Woody’s Watersports, we’re dedicated to making your jet ski adventure unforgettable from start to finish. Where do I park?

There are two parking lots located adjacent from us on Boardwalk Place E. All parking in John’s Pass is paid parking. You can also contact Free Beach Ride to arrange for a pick-up and drop-off at our location. Please contact FreeBeachRide.com or call 727.776.7553.

What time should I arrive?
Your rental time is your water time. We ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to rental time so that we can properly check you in and provide all legal instructions prior to your departure from our dock. Parties of 5 Jet Skis or more should arrive 45 minutes prior to rental time. Please keep in mind that we are located in an incredibly popular area during specific times of the year and time will need to be allotted to find parking.
Do You require a deposit?

No deposit is required for all payments made with a Credit Card. All Bank Debit Cards will require a deposit of $400 per jet ski rental or immediate family (i.e. spouse and/or children) for incidental damage. We will hold funds during the duration of rental and release upon return to dock. You may put a Credit Card on file in lieu of any type of deposit but will be responsible for any damage that occurs on any of the jet ski rentals under your reservation. We are not responsible for any overdraft fees that occur during this time. We appreciate your cooperation.

How old do you have to be to operate a jetski?

In the State of Florida you can be 14 to operate a jet ski. However, you must have a parent/guardian sign our rental agreement if you are under the age of 18.

What is the boaters license?

The State of Florida requires a temporary boaters license for all people interested in operating a jet ski born after January 1st, 1988. Florida Wildlife Conservation offers them online – click here to get started. Remember – you only need a temporary boaters license. If previously tested through this website – create a new username to obtain an updated boaters license. The temporary boaters license is ONLY valid for 90 days. (Previously one year.).

I have Never ridden a jetski. what do i need to know?

No problem. 90% of our customers are newbies. We will provide you with a safety orientation prior to your rental and ensure that you feel safe. Just bring a photo ID & a credit card/debit card and we can get you started.

What s Florida State Law "SB606"?
According to Florida State Law “SB606” effective July 1, 2023 – it is suggested that you purchase $500,000 per person and $1million per event for damages or injuries inurance coverage for your upcoming trip. Please be aware that if you choose to not purchase that level of coverage, you will be asked to sign and attest to this declination as per the requirements outlined in Florida Law SB606. What are your rates?

All of John’s Pass has the same rates. (One thing to note is the gas charges. You will find that we offer the lowest gas charge in the pass.) We offer Early Bird Specials starting at $70 per hour (not per person) and our everyday rate is $90. We have group rates for 5 or more skis and military/veteran discounts as well. You can rent for multiple hours too! We offer a variety of different ways to provide you with a discount. We have a large fleet of jet skis to service your needs.

What do I do with my personal belongings?

We offer lockers available to lock your personal items up at our location. However we highly recommend leaving your expensive personal items locked in your car.

What are your Jet Ski Boundaries?
Most days you can venture to the Gulf of Mexico or Boca Ciega Bay. The USCG has provided us with the boundaries for jet ski rentals. Safety is our number one priority so it is possible due to Winds or Tide – you may be restricted to one or the other. We make the determination every morning.
What is your Refund Policy?
We ask that you notify us 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Failure to give us ample notice will result in a credit good for 1 year. At this time we will not be issuing refunds if your reservation is within 24 hours. If we can accomodate you, we will reschedule for sameday there will be a $10 per ski, reschedule fee. Please contact us if you run in to a conflict with your reservation. Thank you.
What is your refund policy with inclement weather?
Safety is our number one priority. If we are concerned that the weather may be an issue, we will reschedule or refund based on your travel needs.
When Should I arrive?
We kindly ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to arrival. If you are traveling in a party of 5 or more, we prefer 1 hour ahead of time. The reservation/booking time is your water time. If late arrival occurs, loss of rental time will if we cannot accommodate your reservation without refund.
